Stiches is the fusion of Speckles and Swirls.
Appearance[]
Stitches stands twelve feet tall with a muscular build, with features common amongst permarfusions. As a cross Gem fusion, Stitches’ physical attributes are - for the most part - a combination of her components. She possesses two sets of arms - with the second set being on her waist (akin to canon Sardonyx) -, two sets of ocean green eyes, a long, curved nose (akin to Speckles), and long, wavy, frost green hair that extends past her back. Her gemstones are located in place of her right eye and on the center of her chest respectively.
Stitches outfit consists of a deep green top with matching undergarments, ankle-length boots over a pair of fishnets, a yellow translucent skirt, and fishnet gloves that extend to her elbow. Over top her outfit is a dark green latex jacket with pointed shoulder pads, decorated with yellow bows.
Personality[]
Stitches is both laid-back and level-headed, yet boisterous and rambunctious. She’s always looking for her next big adventure; whether it be a mission assigned to her by Yellow Diamond, or a spur of the moment trip to another planet to fight rogue Gems. Stitches is very passionate about her current position on Homeworld, and takes lots of pride in helping damaged Gems return to their former glory.
History[]
Stitches was first formed a few years prior to the dismantlement of Homeworld’s society. Her first formation happened during a colonizing process on one of Yellow Diamond’s many planets. Speckles and Swirls got a little sidetracked from their mission, and ended up forming Stitches! Her first formation was very brief and awkward (akin to Garnet’s in “The Answer”), and didn’t accomplish much. Knowing of Homeworld’s strict rules on cross Gem fusion, her components would only fuse with one another in secret, and kept from interacting with one another in public to avoid any suspicion. Soon after the demolition of Homeworld’s society, Stitches’ components decided to live out their lives as Stitches permanently. The fusion currently works under Yellow Diamond as a bounty hunter of sorts, hunting down various deformed Gems throughout the galaxy and returning them to Yellow for repair.
Abilities[]
Stitches possesses standard Gem abilities, including but not limited to; bubbling, shape-shifting, fusion, regeneration, agelessness, and superhuman strength/durability.
- Summoning Weapon - Baton: Speckles’ shovel combines with Swirls’ placeholder weapon to create Stitches' baton, which she is proficient at using in combat.
- Additional Weaponry - Gem Destabilizer: Stitches is equipped with a Gem Destabilizer to assist her in combat.
- Ability - Superhuman Strength: Though this is an average Gem ability, Stitches is even stronger than most other fusion Gems. Her physical strength is comparable to that of the Crystal Gem fusion Sugilite.
- Unique Ability - Magmakinesis: Stitches possesses the unique ability to create, shape and manipulate molten rocks/lava, an ability that combines Speckles’ mud manipulation and Swirls’ fire manipulation.
- Unique Ability - Elemental Manipulation: An ability that stems from her component Gems, Stitches is able to create, shape and manipulate both mud and lava.
