Leuco Sapphire (Facet-1Z9C Cut-9XY) is a colourless sapphire currently residing on Earth.
Appearance[]
Leuco shares a body shape and height with most Sapphires, as could be expected. Her hair is waist-length, white in colour. Her bangs are mostly straight, sections falling over her face and covering her eye, and on the further ends of her face are two longer bits framing her face. Her hair is slightly curly in the back. Her skin is a soft grey, with her lips being tinted white. She has two elbow-length gloves. On both gloves, two fingers are left open, as well as two triangles by her wrists. She wears a pale blue dress with a grey stripe around the collar, and short, rounded sleeves. The waist of her dress matches her skin colour. The waist area ends with a grey chevron. From there, the dress expands outwards as a ballroom-style dress would. Grey triangles pattern upwards from the bottom of the dress, and between the blue and grey are white coloured diamonds. The bottom of the dress is decorated with ruffles. She also may be seen wearing a dark grey veil attached to a blue crown with white ornaments, with similar white ornaments adorning the bottom of the veil, glowing gently.
Personality[]
A soft-spoken, outwardly calm demeanour coats an anxious mess. She has a good sense of humour, finding comedy in others’ mild inconvenience. She is very loyal, and would not betray those she cares about. She tends to put a lot of faith in people and depends on them. She tends to keep a level head, but also is not immune to severe headaches, and panic attacks that can incapacitate her. If she gets too emotionally confused, overwhelmed, or conflicted, she is likely to cry. She is also very placating, quick to assure someone she means no harm, and that she intends to provide assistance or protection. Very excitable, though, and not above showing it. Often introspecting and retrospecting. Has strong feelings of regret, and holds onto pain and betrayal. She's still rather fun to be around and enjoys things like puzzles and riddles.
History[]
Early Homeworld Life[]
A Colourless Sapphire made for White Diamond’s court. She was held to an incredibly high standard. Was made earlier in Era One, making her one of the oldest gems in the crew. The high standards she was held to as a precious Sapphire became incredibly stress-inducing, causing adverse effects on her psyche. As a result of this, her performance in the role she was meant to have, was hindered slightly. The other Sapphires would criticise her for succumbing to headaches and anxiety. A fault in her predictions would be a shameful occurrence but the stress would hinder her judgement, and her faults would become more pronounced. Her predictions became less and less frequent, and her usefulness decreased. Until... she met an unusual gem. She was pacing somewhere, an empty garden, attempting to collect her thoughts by some degree. While there, one other gem entered the garden.
Meeting Zircon[]
A Zircon. One who clearly also was there to collect her thoughts. The Zircon, upon realising she was not only not alone, but occupying the same vicinity as a White Diamond Sapphire, clearly became more stressed, scrambling to properly greet the precious and aristocratic gem. Leuco raised a hand to dismiss this sort of greeting as unnecessary, and the Zircon was all too excited to drop the formalities and just relax for half a minute. After a good minute of silence between the two, the Zircon approached her and requested, politely, guidance. A Sapphire is your best bet if you want advice, after all. The gem who she was defending was innocent, but she feared she wouldn’t be able to prove it. She asked the Sapphire, if, perchance, she could see the trial concluding with an innocent verdict. Leuco Sapphire decided it was worth it to try. She saw so many possible futures. Of so many possibilities, so many of them were undesirable, but one…
Despite initially approaching it with a pessimistic view, a sudden epiphany seemed to hit her. Rather than suggesting that the future would be bleak, she suggested that the future should be what the Zircon could make it. She passively inspired the Zircon with her words and the strange, intriguing idea that fate did not have to be what the Sapphire saw it as. Leuco Sapphire remained in the garden, with no obligations to attend and nobody else around, to mull over her thoughts. Eventually, the Zircon returned, with fantastic news: The verdict had been determined as Not Guilty. Before the Zircon could even thank Leuco Sapphire, she retorted with gratitude of her own, elucidating as to how it was the Zircon who had changed her view on time, the future, and life.
This event was the start of their friendship. From then, Leuco Sapphire and the Zircon would converse, take walks together, and often visited the vacant garden they’d met in. It proved to be very beneficial for both gems, with Leuco Sapphire offering advice to Zircon, and Zircon providing Leuco Sapphire with an outlet for her stress. Leuco Sapphire became more productive in White Diamond's court, and less criticised by her fellow Sapphires. They were close friends for thousands of years. Around the end of Era One, whilst Rose Quartz was becoming increasingly a threat, she began having to push aside a terrible vision she begun to have. Until, finally, the vision proved to be the path she was on.
Losing Zircon and Meeting Lazurite[]
Lavender Zircon, rather inspired by the ‘antics’ of the rebels, the ‘Crystal Gems’, had intended to support and assist their rise to power. She expressed this to no one but Leuco Sapphire, intending for the two of them to escape to Earth together. She had been discovered and shattered. Upon discovering Zircon’s fate, Leuco Sapphire froze the garden over and now felt in her being a newfound hatred of the Diamonds. By the time she got there, she already knew it was too late, but she managed to save the shards of Lavender Zircon's gem. If Lavender Zircon had approved of the ‘Crystal Gems’, or this ‘Earth’, they must have had some good cause they were fighting for. But now Lavender Zircon was gone, and Leuco Sapphire wanted nothing more than to leave Homeworld. That became her goal. She continued to serve White Diamond dutifully with false loyalty and was awarded for her service a Pearl to accompany her. She made it clear from the start, to the Pearl, that she desired not a servant. Only a friend. The Pearl attempted to fulfil this request. With the Pearl as a companion, she began to wander beyond the spaces she was expected to remain confined in. She observed technicians and engineers, conversed with those considered insignificant out of interest. One day, she encountered someone different from most others she had met, a strange-looking Lazurite. She saw this strange gem as a ticket out, so their meeting marked the beginning of her journey. She travelled with Lazurite away from Homeworld.
Recent Times[]
The Crew eventually landed on Earth and eventually integrated into Earth society when the changes the Diamonds made began. Leuco became well acquainted with humans and works a few odd jobs, mostly for fun and to occupy her time. She has yet to attempt to get Lavender Zircon back but has convened with some of Lavender Zircon's charges and wards, such as Wooby and Corundum.
Abilities[]
Leuco Sapphire has few abilities beyond the normal abilities of a gem.
- Cryokinesis: Leuco Sapphire has the ability to generate and manipulate ice and snow.
- Levitation: Leuco Sapphire can hover at will and tends to glide around rather than run.
- Enhanced Speed: Leuco Sapphire can move at incredible speed- but only when she's gliding.
- Future Vision: Leuco Sapphire possesses precognitive abilities.
- Photokinesis: Leuco Sapphire can generate, project and manipulate light. As a flashlight from her gem, this would be useless. So, luckily, it's beyond that.
- Holographic Projection: As a subsection of Photokinesis, Leuco Sapphire can project holographic images from her gemstone. Thanks to her photokinesis, the holographic images are not anchored to the gemstone which is instead rather the source of the holograms.
- Limited Interdimensional Storage: With some limitations, Leuco Sapphire can store things in her gem.

- When fused with Cat's-Eye Chrysoberyl, they form Star Rhodolite.
- When fused with Chocolate Tahitian Pearl, they form Silver Spinel.

Skillset[]
- Precise Recollection: Leuco Sapphire has been shown to have an incredible memory, generally remembering details and events beyond normal perception. It is not perfect but is almost perfect.
- Ice Skating: Leuco Sapphire has great manoeuvrability on ice, able to move with similar speed and method as an ice skater. She never slips on ice and can perform any number of tricks.
- Charisma: Thanks to her personality and history, Leuco Sapphire is very charismatic and displays impressive skill in persuasion and influence.
- Aristocratic Mannerisms: Having lived a life of general aristocracy on Homeworld, Leuco Sapphire is well familiarised with the mannerisms and speech patterns of high-classed individuals, which is useful in certain situations.
- Appeal: Leuco Sapphire is aware of some things that appeal to others and may use this to her advantage when talking to people.
Relationships[]
Bumblebee Jasper[]
Leuco is shown to care greatly for Bumblebee Jasper and offers her support when needed. Bumblebee is shown to hold Leuco in high respect and will usually listen to what she has to say, and generally considers the unfortunate idea that no idea can be too bad if Leuco doesn't stop them from carrying it through.
Cat's-Eye Chrysoberyl[]
Generally, unbeknownst to the others, Leuco and Cat's-Eye get along exceedingly well, Leuco's calm and gentle nature serving as a point of solace for Cat's-Eye. Even though they spend minimal time together, Cat's-Eye will often go to Leuco for guidance or for a calm environment. Together, they can be ultimately cynical, or they can balance each other out. Their personalities mesh well, even though Cat's-Eye can be more pessimistic than Leuco is comfortable with. Their fusion is incredibly stable.
Chocolate Tahitian Pearl[]
A Pearl who was given to Leuco Sapphire a significantly long time ago. Leuco preferred Tahi as a friend rather than a servant. Due to their interactions in this capacity, they are very close. Tahi, being a Pearl, doesn't generally have hobbies of her own and typically can be found alongside Leuco, participating in the same activities that she does. Leuco is shown to greatly respect Tahi, despite her rank. Unfortunately, Tahi had been in the habit of referring to Leuco as mainly "Your Clarity" And "My Sapphire", but luckily, it is a habit she has slowly been growing apart of. Tahi seems to harbour feelings toward Leuco, and Leuco does seem to return these feelings to some extent. Leuco is also rather protective of Tahi, as Tahi is to her.
Cinnamon Zircon[]
Leuco Sapphire happens to have an utter vicious vengeful hatred of Cinnamon Zircon, reasonably convinced that Lavender Zircon had been coldly betrayed by her, and under the impression that Cinnamon would have gone for her as well had she not escaped, Leuco feels as though she desires nothing better than to utterly decimate and obliterate Cinnamon Zircon by herself.
Lavender Zircon[]
Lavender Zircon and Leuco became best friends and romantic interests for each other over several thousand years after a chance encounter. They spent a great amount of time together and were nigh inseparable. Leuco and Zircon had a plan for the future they wanted to have, involving leaving Homeworld and going to Earth so they could be free together forever. Leuco was devastated by Zircon's shattering and had saved her shards in desperation that there may be some way to reverse the damage done. Leuco is constantly haunted by the memory and loss of Zircon unable to put her out of her memory. She has not moved on, and likely never will, traumatised by the loss and unable to forgive herself, or the diamonds.
Lazurite[]
They have a very good relationship. Lazurite had met Leuco Sapphire and Chocolate Tahitian Pearl before the rest of the crew. They've had very few negative interactions, and enjoy being around each other and spending time together. They respect each other, and Lazurite harbours feelings towards Leuco that she doesn't really return. They also have many playful interactions, one very common occurrence being Leuco attempting to outmatch Lazurite when they're telling a story by predicting what they will say next, and Lazurite trying to outpace her predictions. Leuco, although not returning Lazurite's romantic feelings for her, does care deeply about them and views them as a very good, very close friend, and trusts their leadership qualities.
Lepidolite[]
Leuco Sapphire is commonly known to playfully tease Lepidolite quite often, usually because Lepidolite won't let Leuco warn her against saying and doing embarrassing things.
Rhodochrosite[]
Alpha[]
They don't specifically interact much, but Leuco does generally interact well with her, trying to be polite and handling the subject of Omega gently to keep it out of her knowledge. Leuco does not fear Alpha like Lazurite does but does treat her with significant caution, always on the awareness when her precognition indicates Omega's arrival.
Omega[]
While Leuco Sapphire does not fear Alpha, she does fear Omega. She's aware of the power and capability Rhodochrosite has and does not want to suffer punishment at her hands due to her cruel and apathetic nature. Rhodochrosite Omega is strangely the only one who can frighten Leuco enough to break her will.
Seraphinite[]
Though not interacting on a personal level very often, they get along fairly well. They play card games, and somehow, Seraphinite has a winning streak.
The Crystal Gems[]
Despite likely having interacted very little with them, because Lavender Zircon had supported their views, Leuco thinks highly of them.

- Leuco Sapphire's gem is located on her back. This is meant to be symbolic of her inability to let go of the past, despite seeing the future.
- Leuco Sapphire wears a veil, which is likely a rarer occurrence for a Sapphire. It's possibly indicative of her grief, or her hiding from her past.
- Despite Leuco's veil being something that isn't a constant or permanent part of her physical form, it can be seen on all of her fusions' physical forms at all times, though some instances are more subtle than others.
- The ruffled layer on Angelite's dress is made from the veil.
- Silver Spinel's ponytail is covered partially by a backwards-facing veil.
- The veil is what creates ruffles and the flowy aspects of Star Rhodolite's outfit.
- Rainbow Moonstone may have two veils, one draped over her face down to her chin, and the other originating from her choker necklace, going halfway down her chest, and going the whole way around.
- The veil is more subtle on Gypsum, acting as a sort of coattails on the back of their outfit.
- Despite Leuco's veil being something that isn't a constant or permanent part of her physical form, it can be seen on all of her fusions' physical forms at all times, though some instances are more subtle than others.
- Leuco's outfit may give the impression of her wearing a cutoff shirt and a skirt due to her midriff appearing to be visible. However, she is wearing a dress, and the midriff area is simply almost skin-coloured.
- This is comedically brought up a few times by others and herself.
- Although it has yet to be shown in colour, Leuco's eye is based on the eyes of someone who her creator and roleplayer had once encountered in a school hallway.
- Leuco Sapphire has expressed mild disgruntlement over not being able to play darts well due to a lack of depth perception.
- Leuco knows Japanese, along with some Chinese and Korean, and she apparently learnt these from watching anime with Lazurite. The mystery is where Lazurite got ahold of anime in the first place.
