Amber is a Homeworld Gem who stranded herself on Earth in order to preserve herself during a battle with a Human
Appearance[]
Amber is a fit, agile gem with orange skin and eyes, golden yellow hair, and a black jumpsuit with yellow and scarlet accents, and a yellow and white midriff. She stands at a height of 6'7". She has shoulder-length golden straight hair a moderately sized nose, and eyes that contain a mid-orange iris, but no pupils.
Personality[]
Ambers are known to be cold, indifferent gems who focus more on the results than how it needs to be done. Amber is no different, although she does not share as intense of an 'ends justify the means' attitude like others of her gemtype. Because Ambers are cold and indifferent, they show little remorse when having to kill organic beings on a colony, usually seeing them as pathetic and/or beneath them. "I don't care" is a common comment from Ambers when their means are challenged.
History[]
Amber was created in a batch on a heavily forested colony over 692,630 years before present events as a data collections specialist. After travelling to Homeworld after the colony was deemed 'complete', where she served a number of uses over time, ranging from data collections, to Quartz/Agate Supervisor, to guardians of important gems such as Emeralds and sometimes the Diamonds.
Relationships[]
Tero:[]
Amber, while initially viewing Tero as little more than another gem under supervision. But after she was forced to destroy the ship used for her to travel there in order to preserve herself, she's let her cold, indifferent side give way to a calm, kinder side, but only to him.
Reto and Derodite:[]
Amber considers Reto and Derodite both to be friends, rather than workers, after being stranded on earth following a battle between her and 'Slavic Toast'.
'Slavic Toast':[]
Amber, following a battle with him, does not consider Toast much of a friend, but she does respect his use of his given tools during their fight.
Pearl (Canon):[]
Amber, while only just meeting Pearl, had an argument leading to a fight with her. The issue for why was resolved later that day, and Amber is able to coexist with the Crystal Gem peacefully.
Abilities[]
Amber possesses standard Era-1 gem abilities:bubbling, shapeshifting, fusion, enhanced strength and durability, and regeneration
- Summoning Weapon-Scissor Katar: Amber possesses the ability to summon a 'scissor' Katar weapon, sometimes two, from her gemstone, which she can use proficiently in combat
- Unique Ability-Sonokinesis: Amber is able to generate and control soundwaves, intensifying or weakening them to the purpose she requires
- Unique Ability-Sonokinetic Buffering: Amber, through intense concentration can block small arms fire from anything less than semi-automatic, as well as decreasing the effect of large caliber weapons, such as tank shells and explosives by half.
- Unique Ability-Sonokinetic Propulsion: Amber can concentrate soundwaves under her hands and feet, and use them to propel herself in the direction she chooses. This gives her increased agility, and is useful if she's launched from a battle by an explosion.
Gemstone[]
Amber's gemstone is an inverted triangular shape with no facets, and several splotches of red, orange, and scarlet in it. It sits on the visible side of her left bicep.
